
The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, April 8 reveals Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will get shocking news from Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox).
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will find out she can’t donate stem cells to save Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) life. And Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will threaten Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will sit beside Cane at the GCAC bar and ask who he’s seeking revenge on. “Maybe it’s you,” he’ll reply. And he’ll point out that everyone in town is disgusted by her. “The trophy you have won Phyllis is being the most hated person in town.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Cane Doesn’t Want To Be Sucked Into Her Chaos
Phyllis will tell him no one in town understands her. “I’m not interested in talking to you,” he’ll reply. “I think your need for attention is tedious.” Cane will sit somewhere else and Phyllis will follow him. She’ll remind him they had fun together and will offer him a job. “How can you say no to me?”

But Cane will do so nonetheless. “I don’t want to get sucked into your chaos,” he’ll add. “Any connection with you is a trap.” He’ll threaten to build another AI and take Newman from her. Only he won’t keep it for himself, he’ll give it back to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). “Just to watch you squirm, knowing there is not a thing you can do about it.”
In the lobby, Lily will promise Malcolm she won’t tell anyone about his health condition. He’ll thank her and say he would like to keep it quiet for now. Malcolm will say he’s about to meet with an old friend, Dr. Stephanie Simmons. Lily will say she’s going to get tested right away.
Meanwhile, Holden will tell his mom he doesn’t even remember his dad, since he died when he was so young. So, he’ll ask her what it’s about. “When I met your dad, I was pregnant, so Jerry was not your biological father.”
Stephanie will say he knew. “Then he was taken away from us.” Holden will ask if his biological father is still alive. His mom will say he is and she’s been in touch with him. But he doesn’t know yet, she wanted to talk to Holden first. “This man is a good man and he needs your help,” Stephanie will add.
Then Stephanie will look near the entrance and see Malcolm walk in. She’ll tell Holden she’ll be back in a minute and she’ll greet Malcolm. “There’s someone I want you to meet,” Stephanie will say and they’ll sit down to talk. “It’s not about your condition,” she’ll admit. But she’ll also tell Malcolm that because Lily had cancer she is non-viable as a donor.

“Lily is not your only option, this is where the conversation goes in a different direction,” Stephanie will say. And Holden will walk out from the patio area. Stephanie will introduce him. “This is Holden, he’s my son Malcolm, and yours.”

A stunned Malcolm will say he doesn’t understand. Stephanie will say she was pregnant when she left town. She met Dr. Jerry Novak and they decided to raise the baby together. Holden will tell Malcolm his mother said he needed his help. “So what is it you need me to do?”
He’ll ask if he’s sick and Malcolm will say he needs a stem cell transplant. Holden will ask if he has any other kids. Malcolm will say he has a daughter but she’s not an option. “Not only do I have a biological father I didn’t know about, I have a sister too,” Holden will reply.
Malcolm will realize he needs to let his daughter know she can’t donate her stem cells. “I gotta call Lily and tell her myself.” Holden will be gobsmacked. “Lily?” he’ll ask. “Maybe you’ve met, Lily Winters,” Malcolm will reply. Holden will say he has.
Finally, Lily will sit at a table and cry. Cane will spot her, sit down and ask if she needs to talk. Lily will say she does, but not to him. Then she’ll call her doctor and he’ll tell her, because of her cancer treatments, she’s not eligible to be a donor.
